Winter fashion can be tricky. Unless you're a droid, keeping warm takes priority over being the trendiest on the block. I myself am a "hoodie and jeans" type girl. But I do have a trendy side that loves to play dress up. That being said, here is my Best and Worst Top Five of Winter Trends =)
Worst is more fun for me, lol, so let's start with that...
1. This is number one on any worst trend list in the world. IMO, the following is an atrocious insult to men and fashion EVERYWHERE. It is truly a terrible, terrible sight, so please, proceed with caution.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you...
The "Megging"
Just...WTF??? Is THIS???
Grown ass men running around everywhere looking like Peter Pan meets Metrosexual. Neither of which are very appealing when I think of "man".
Says the sexy co-blogger: "Dudes walking round looking like wrestlers. You go' walk in Pep Boys and it look like a battle royal."
Skinny jeans were bad enough fellas, but c'mon...you gotta let the boys jiggle a little...sheesh. It's not sexy, it's not cute. Just don't do it.
2. Whatever you want to call this...
It looks like two hedgehogs sewn together at the head. Only in the event of "Day After Tomorrow" type weather is it acceptable to wear this publicly. Thumbs down ,Rhi Rhi.
3. Men in fur boots:
I don't mean to knit-pick at fur, or men for that matter, but this one must be addressed. I'm sure the guys that wear them think it looks super cool, or whatever, but they're wrong. Tsk Tsk.
4. "Sunday Hats"
We often hear people speak of Kate's great class and grace, and I admit she is a very distinguished lady. However, what I call "Sunday Hats" are reserved for elderly great grandmother's on their way to Sunday service.
5. Ok...I really tried to stay away from this because I have seen it used in very beautiful, classy ways...but number five on our list is: Fur
The sexy co-blogger tells me that it looks like it itches.
He also adds: "Why would you wanna walk around looking like a Ewok??"
I agree, dear, I agree.
Truth is, fur isn't everyone's friend. It's a touchy area, and in most cases, a fail.
Now, on to the good stuff...
1. Big scarves
I don't wear them nearly as often as I should, but I adore big, comfy scarves. You can find one to go with anything and it adds a touch of warmth in cold weather.
2. Waist length trench coats.
I'm a sucker for classic looks, and this is one that works for anyone. Even my 7 year old daughter said so as I was browsing for ideas. It's simple, elegant, and traditionally stylish.
3. Red nails
Another winter classic, they add a spark to your digits in an otherwise cold atmosphere. I LOVE when color meets the gray scale of winter.
4. Boyfriend sweater
My boyfriend ALWAYS has the best sweaters. They're great with jeans, leggings, whatever.
5. Boots
I have an affair with shoes. It's passionate and it runs deep and winter is the perfect time for showcasing a stylish pair of boots.
Sidenote: I didnt mark this pic, but just some examples...
So there you have it dolls and guys...enVee.Inc's Top Five Best and Worst Winter Trend's.

When Hell Freezes Over...
Smh. I don't know how many of you out there in the "net world" live in, or have ever been to SC. What I DO know is that none of you ever want to have the misfortune of being here when...***cue dramatic DUM! DUM! DUUUM!!*** WINTER WEATHER STRIKES!!!! Gasp!
Here in the south we're known for charm, hospitality, and hot friggin' summers. Seriously, I become Mega-Twat around July of every year. The temperatures are nearly unbearable from about June to September. 100 degrees is a "cooler" day. It's incredibly humid, and the weather is a devious bastard that who gives a brief shower of cooling rain, only to come back ten degrees hotter fifteen minutes later. It's insane.
Our winter's are generally mild, with rain and very, very minimal snow, sleet, ice etc. It just doesn't happen here. We are a people accustomed to the warmth of the south, and it has spoiled us.
However...and this is the best part of SC, (from a distance and the safety of my home of course) we do have rare occasions where it MIGHT snow a bit, or perhaps sleet. A few years ago we had a minor freeze over where everything in sight was covered in a layer of ice. I say minor, because I was born in Virginia and some of my oldest memories involve snow banks four feet high, and worse. If you ask the average South Carolinian, it was quite an event. The photo below was snapped in my yard that year. Magnolias on ice =)
And here we are now, 2013, and it is currently freezing outside once more. It began sleeting around 9am this morning. And has progressively gotten colder and wetter since. It is 26 degrees, with hazardous weather warnings indicating "accumulation" and "0.05 inches of ice". Now, I know to people up north, and to the west, this is no cause for alarm. But in South Carolina, it is cause for sheer chaos.
This is where I get to the best part, though.
In these conditions, the people here go NUTS!!!!!
Everyone forgets how to drive, and people swarm to the grocery store to buy milk, and bread.
I've never in my life come to any kind of understanding with that logic. If we lose electricity the milk will spoil. Bread makes sense in the short term, I guess. But, come on now. I've seen a complete riot at local grocers over these two coveted items.
This is so spot on ..............^^
But yes, seeing how I am in no way interested in leaving the cozy comfort of my home, away from all that madness, I've decided to dedicate today's blog to winter and the related.....

Whas Hannin?!? (Intro)
Hi! =) I'm enVee! I've been around the internet for a long time, by various different alias, and now, after an extended hiatus, I've decided to take all of this knowledge I've collected and do something with it. Well, that...and I was slightly bored.
My internet career started around 2006. I was online, dreadfully bored as usual, when I seen an ad seeking people to host radio shows from the comfort of their homes, via the internet. I've always been passionate about music, so I applied. I really didnt expect to hear anything back, but a bit later I had an email from the station...and a new hobby that I would slowly build into a career over the next few years.
Fast forward.....
Here I am, years later, typing this blog.
Call me Marty McFly ;-)
Anywho, for the sake of time and typing and reading I've decided to divide this blog into three categories that sum up my interests pretty well. These are Beauty, Fashion, and Music.
Rest assured, I'll actually blog about everything one could possibly think of, but I promise you'll enjoy it.
That being said, ladies do I have a treat for you....
A sexy co-blogger of course!!!
(He just doesnt know it yet.)
I have an awesome boyfriend, hands down. And being that most of my blogging is inspired by things that he and I have previously had random discussions about, I'll have him weighing in with that "male perspective" on things from time to time.
See! =) Sexy co-blogger ^^
Whom, upon seeing me post this said "You coulda picked a better pic." Pfffft!!! Lol
Moving along though, as anyone around me knows, I ALWAYS have something to say...and so I hope that you're all entertained and enlightened by my musings.
Thanks for stopping by and please continue visiting as I will be updating often!!!
